National Child Labour Project

The overall approach of the project is to create an enabling environment in the target area, where children are motivated and empowered through various measures to enroll in schools and refrain from working, and households are provided with alternatives to improve their income levels. The project continues to identify and withdraw children from all forms of labour/occupations and preparing them for mainstream education along with facilitating vocational skills.

CECS has continued to implement NCLP for another year with the upgradation of centres to a total of 24 centres from 20 centres last year. A total of 1200 children were enrolled in the current year and 197 children were mainstreamed into formal schooling.
